Can We Afford This Government In Our Budget?

After a considerable time trying to get over a nasty chest infection and a bout of Covid-19, which has left me a breathing problem I’m back in the saddle.  It doesn’t matter which way you turn in this country, the Government have been the instigator of all the problems we are all suffering from now.  Had the Government given the Doctors, Nurses, Carers, Ambulance Drivers and anyone in the Medical Field their rises on a yearly basis, instead of denying them to keep in line with suitable living wage, they wouldn’t be having all these strikes.  Who are the people that are at blunt end of suffering, who are not getting treatments for Cancer and other important operations?  I’ll tell you who, the people that voted and trusted them.

It makes me boil with rage when I hear some Smart-Alec state – the Government haven’t got any money, although they seem to have enough to pay themselves for sitting arguing amongst themselves whose fault it is, but not trying to rectify any of the problems they have manufactured.

The list of holes in our roads and uneven pavements is getting longer and the local Councils responsible for the repairs just chalk round the hole and I’ve known some holes with chalk marks that have been around for a year and nothing done.

Our own MP must be like the proverbial Hedgehog, in hibernation, but mostly for the whole year and only appears if someone of importance visits this area!

Having heard from a viewer of “Homes under the Hammer” who reported that a derelict Church no longer in service was sold to a person for £320,000 who was prepared to change it into Community Centre which would include Antiques and a cafeteria that the removal of the pews was denied makes me wonder what kind of brain dead Councillor denied this project to go ahead.  It wasn’t as if this person was going to change the Church into a Night Club, which would be a terrible mistake.

Because the Church in question is a grade 2 listed building and won’t be used for Church purposes, I can’t really see why this Councillor denied this request.  They shouldn’t have sold it in the first place.  I wondered whether the Council received the money and wanted their cake and were intended to eat it as well and deny the people of St. Leonards-on-Sea the benefit of a brand new Community Centre where they could meet for a chat over a cup of something!

I am glad that some people have taken note regarding the Conservatives total disregard of serving the population fairly!  Everything they do is done in a clandestine  manner, hoping the public won’t cotton on.

I wonder whether Risky Sunhat has taken in consideration of all the people that are  and still might go on strike that won’t be voting for them to return to power!

“Power to the People!”

The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so!  Swear words are not accepted.
